Naik keretapi

After a week kat KL, we all balik Kulim naik keretapi malam.. bertolak dari KL Sentral at 10pm.. sampai Butterworth at 6am.. and this time naik koc yang ada katil.. mmg best and selesa.. budak2 mmg suka la.. panjat sana sini.. seronok betul dia orang main.. aku apa lagi.. lelap mata la.. lagipun kepala pening la pulak.. tu yg buat tak tau je budak2 tu main.. tapi last2 diorang tido jugak sampai pagi..

12 March–18 March

The whole week of school holidays are spent in KL.. We all balik KL naik AirAsia yang dah dibooking lebih sebulan awal… sampai LCCT, my auntie dah tunggu.. bila gi kat kereta, dia dah kene saman.. kesian my auntie tapi alhamdulillah.. since dia pegi bayar saman tu cepat.. saman tu telah didiskaunkan.. ok la tu.. kesian my auntie..
anyway.. the whole week kat KL.. we stayed at my parents house in shah alam.. Man cuti until Rabu je.. then he is back to Kulim.. kitorang stay till friday..
banyak jugak la activities.. especially for me.. not for the kids.. hahaha.. aku jadik chauffer for my mom for her medical checkup kat spital klang and for my dad for his medical checkup kat spital serdang.. and then for my sister for her prenatal checkup kat klinik kesihatan seksyen 7.. makna kata banyak spent ulang alik spital la.. hehe.. but no problem.. tak kesah pun..
and one of the activity yg paling dinanti2kan ialah belajar buat kek with kak lea from leaoven.. best betul.. dari pagi kul 11 sampai kul 11 malam.. hehehe.. punye la marathon.. sebab supposedly 2 days.. tapi since tak de transport nak ke sana.. we cramp kan the modules jadik 1 day..

2nd Attempt of Roti Boy (Mexican Bun) from different Recipe

DSC01605Oleh kerana tak puas hati sangat on my first attempt buat roti boy ari tu.. so aku buat lagi sekali semalam.. this time.. rasa dah ada.. rupa dah ada tapi sekejap je.. sebab selepas beberapa minit di keluarkan dari oven.. the bun terturun sket di tengah.. and agak lembik..

Recipe: (Makes about 17 buns)
Coffee Topping Ingredients
200 g softened butter
160 g icing sugar
3 lightly beaten eggs
2 tbsp instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp water
a pinch of ground cinnamon
200 g flour
Method
Beat the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Gradually beat in eggs. Mix in coffee flavoring. Sift flour onto mixture and mix until combined. Refrigerate the mixture.
Sweet Bun Dough Ingredients
500 g bread flour
20 g milk powder
75 g castor sugar
6 g salt
8 g instant yeast
5 g bread improver (vital wheat gluten – optional)
1 lightly beaten egg
270 g water
60 g softened butter
Method
1. Mix flour, milk powder, sugar and salt in mixer on low speed 1 min.
2. Add in yeast, egg and water. Mix on low speed for 1 minute, then medium speed for 8 minutes.
3. Add butter and mix for 5 minutes more on medium speed until a soft, smooth and elastic dough forms.
4. Remove dough from mixing bowl and shape into a ball.
5. Divide the dough into 55 gram portions. Roll each portion in to a ball and then cover and set aside for 10 minutes.
6. Flatten a ball of dough and place a 10 gram cube of butter into the center of the dough. (Masa nak buat ni, leh sapu butter sket kat tangan.. doh tak melekat tapi masa nak seal tu.. jari jgn ada butter.. nanti tak leh nak tutup lepas masukkan butter)
7. Gather the edges and pinch to seal. Pat into shape and place on a greased baking tray. Proof the buns for 45 minutes.
8. Preheat oven to 200*C (400*F).
9. Scoop the topping mixture into a piping bag and pipe the topping in a spiral pattern onto the buns.
10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the buns are lightly brown.

Roti Boy

Memandangkan anak2 mmg suka makan roti ni.. kalau kat kulim ni yang ada MammaRoti and PappaRoti.. tu jenama je.. tapi the bread tu sama aje.. so aku pun menggodek la resipi2 yang ada.. found this one.. tapi cam biasa.. the topping tu kene praktis lagi.. sebab tak berapa menjadi..

The Recipe:

Bahan-bahan
A. High protein flour (500 gm)
Gula (100 gm)
Garam (5 gm)
Bread improver - pelembut roti (5 gm)
Yis – Mauripan – (15 gm)
Telur (2 biji)
Susu Tepung (10 gm)
Air (Paip) jgn air suam tau (210 gm/ml)

B. Margerin (100 gm)

C. Mentega (kiub untuk inti, kalau nak senang potong masa sejuk pakai pisau tajam, masuk balik dlm peti ais)

Cara-cara:
Pukul A sampai kembang. Pukul low speed sekejap sampai combine, baru medium speed. Kalau mixer kommersial dlm 10 min. Kalau hand-mixer, lama le sikit.
Campur margerin, pukul lagi dlm 5 minit. Pukul sampai doh boleh ditarik macam belon yang dah pecah. Doh dia memang lembut sikit. Kalau nak potong, jgn lupa tabur tepung. Kdg2 orang salut je dengan butter, lagi senang.  Rehatkan doh 5 minit.
Bahagikan doh 30 gm. Kalau nak besar mcm kat KLCC tu 60 gm.Masukkan inti. Kena seal betul-betul.  Rehatkan lagi 1 ½ jam – 2 jam

Sementara tu, boleh buat topping.

TOPPING
Telur (90 gm) 1 telur B = 55gm
Gula (90 gm)
Pukul sampai stiff – kembang dan pucat mcm lemon
Low protein flour (110 gm)
Mentega (dicairkan) (100 gm)
Kopi segera / coffee paste (sesedap rasa) – agak2 dalam 2 tsp.. kalau nak kuat tambah lagi..
Baking powder (2 gm)
Dah pukul telur dengan gula tadi, campurkan tepung, gaul rata. Akhir sekali, masukkan mentega cair, gaul rata.
Masukkan dalam beg plastik, potong hujung plastik kecik je, paipkan atas doh tadi.

Buat roti ni jangan berputus asa.. kene cuba selalu baru jadik macam kat kedai tu.. hehehe

Chocolate Icecream

My first time ever in making an icecream.. got the recipe from a blog tapi tak ingat from which blog. so sorry to the author.. anyway.. thank you..

The taste was nice..  cuma termanis sikit.. sebab I guna milk chocolate.. since the chocolate dah mmg manis, and I tak reduce the amount of sugar.. tu yg jadik manis sangat tu.. so next time, if guna milk choc.. remember to reduce the sugar.. unless kalau guna baking chocolate tu ok la..
The Recipe:
Bahan-bahanya ( Sumber resepi dari buku masakan Chocolate Katherine Edelston)
400ml whipping cream
100gram coklat masakan
2 sudu besar serbuk koko@ 2 sudu kecil coklat emulco
1/2 cawan gula
2 biji telur
2 biji kuning telur
50ml susu segar
Cara-caranya
1. Potong kecil-kecil coklat masakan, jika menggunakan serbuk koko, campurkan sedikit air panas supaya menjadi pes, di dalam periuk masukkan 50ml susu segar dan 50ml whipping cream bersama coklat masakan serta pes koko, biarkan coklat larut dan ketepikan, pastikan api yang digunakan perlahan dan haruslah sentiasa dikacau. Setelah semuanya larut dan sebati, tutup api dan ketepikan.
2. Kemudian di dalam bekas lain, satukan telur dan kuning telur serta gula, pukul sedikit menggunakan hand whisker, satukan bancuhan coklat cair tadi dan kacau sebati, selepas itu, panaskan air didalam periuk dan masak menggunakan cara double boiler, kacau sehingga adunan menjadi pekat. tutup api dan sejukkan sebentar.
3. Di dalam mangkuk adunan pukul baki whipping cream sehingga creamy dan kental, akhir sekali satukan adunan coklat dan kacau hingga semuanya sebati, sejukkan di bahagian freezer peti ais sekurang-kurangnya 4 jam atau semalam. Sedia untuk dinikmati bersama sos coklat dan badam cincang.

Lasagne

Dah banyak kali buat.. dan banyak kali cuba nak buat macam SR punye.. this time rasa semua dah ok.. tinggal lagi dia punye pasta tu macam kurang soft.. orang kata tak yah rebus dulu.. terus je masukkan dengan bahan lain and bakar.. tapi tu la.. boleh di makan tapi tak cukup soft la.. tu je..

anyway.. ni resipinya,

bahan A
minced meat, chicken cubes, sliced button mushroom, bwg besar, tomato puree,mixed herbs - stir fry everything & add salt & pepper. kalau nak pedas tambah cili api..

bechamel sauce (B)
120g butter, 1 cup tepung gandum, 1 liter full cream milk - melt butter & slowly add flour (use small fire). add milk bit by bit and whisk till it thickens. jgn tunggu lama sampai pekat sangat..

put a layer of pasta (atau lasagna), bahan  A, (B), & cheese (sebaik2nya mozarella). last layer mesti (B) and cheese.
bake at 200 - 220 C till golden brown approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
